The 45-minute transfer to Legendary Lodge isn't merely a drive - it's your first game drive, with your guide pointing out dik-diks and vervet monkeys along the Arusha backroads. Upon arrival, the lodge's art-deco suites - each with private plunge pools and curated African art collections - set the tone for the aesthetic excellence that denes this journey.
By morning, you would have woken up to the sound of birds chirping. Dive into the world of beads and jewelry in an exclusive two-and-a-half-hour workshop at Shanga, a social enterprise in Arusha. The company employs over thirty, mostly hearing-impaired artisans who create high-quality handmade jewelry, glassware, and homeware with recycled and sustainable materials. Embark on the workshop with a guided tour through the premises, then test your creativity by crafting two pieces of jewelry and trying your hand at glass blowing. After wards, a magical flight over Tanzania's savannahs, takes you in the heart of Tarangire National Park. Your driver awaits you here for your first game drive of the day. Usually, your flight takes you to the park in time for lunch, which you can have in the middle of the savannah. A classic safari sundowner concludes the day, and the sight of the last sun shining over the herds of elephants and the ancient baobabs trees of the Tarangire plains is truly mesmerizing! making you discover why is it called Home of Africans Elephant.
The helicopter transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge isn't just transportation - it's an aerial safari over the Rift Valley's emerald volcanoes. Today you descend into the wonderous caldera of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This day, you to start your game drive early when animals are plenty and tourists few! The lion identification session teaches you how to photograph the unique whisker spot patterns on big cats - much like human fingerprints, no two lions share the same arrangement. You'll carefully document these markings to help scientists track prides across the ecosystem. Later, you'll observe elephant herds, noting how matriarchs communicate with low-frequency rumbles to guide their families to water sources. Researchers will show you how to record feeding behaviors and social interactions that contribute to long-term protection strategies. After this you will Rest and wait for your departure in the morning.
After an amazing safari adventure, you take a plane back to Arusha, after which you are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight home.
